South Heart Clinic is proud to celebrate the success of Community Cardiology Update 2026: Practical Advances in Cardiovascular Care, held August 29 at the Hilton Garden Inn on South Padre Island.

With more than 140 physicians, advanced practice providers, nurses, residents, and healthcare professionals in attendance, the conference was an incredible opportunity to connect, learn, and share knowledge focused on advancing cardiovascular care throughout the Rio Grande Valley.

A Day of Learning, Collaboration, and Connection

Designed to provide practical, relevant education for healthcare professionals involved in the care of patients with cardiovascular disease, the conference featured an outstanding lineup of South Heart Clinic physicians and guest speakers covering a wide range of cardiovascular topics.

From structural heart interventions and TAVR to peripheral vascular disease, carotid and aortic disease, stress testing, stroke prevention, venous disease, and limb salvage, attendees had the opportunity to hear directly from experts across multiple areas of cardiovascular medicine.

The diverse program was designed to provide information that healthcare professionals could take back to their practices and apply to patient care.

Bringing the Cardiovascular Community Together

One of the most rewarding aspects of the event was seeing healthcare professionals from across the Rio Grande Valley come together in one room.

The conference provided more than just an educational experience, it created a space for physicians, APPs, nurses, residents, hospital teams, and industry partners to network, exchange ideas, and strengthen relationships that ultimately benefit the patients we all serve.

We were especially excited to welcome nurses to this year’s program, expanding the opportunity for even more members of the healthcare community to participate in continuing education and meaningful conversations around cardiovascular care.

Thank You to Our Speakers, Sponsors, and Attendees

An event of this size would not be possible without the people who helped make it happen.

We extend our sincere appreciation to all of our incredible speakers for sharing their expertise, experience, and time with our attendees. Your commitment to education and to improving cardiovascular care made this conference truly special.

We also want to thank our sponsors and exhibitors for their support and for helping make the day possible. Your partnership allows us to continue creating educational opportunities for healthcare professionals throughout our region.

Most importantly, thank you to everyone who attended. More than 140 healthcare professionals chose to spend their Saturday learning with us, and we are incredibly grateful for your participation, engagement, and enthusiasm throughout the day.

Continuing Our Commitment to Cardiovascular Education

At South Heart Clinic, we believe that improving cardiovascular health goes beyond the walls of our clinics. It means investing in education, collaboration, innovation, and the healthcare professionals who care for patients across our communities.

The success of Community Cardiology Update 2026 is a reflection of the incredible medical community we are fortunate to be part of here in the Rio Grande Valley.

Thank you for making Community Cardiology Update 2026 such a success. We look forward to continuing to learn, collaborate, and advance cardiovascular care together.
